DigitalOcean Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) with SAASPASS Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is easy to integrate with DigitalOcean by using the SAASPASS Authenticator(works with google services like gmail and dropbox etc.) and it's Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) capabilities. The SAASPASS Authenticator supports the time-based one-time password (TOTP) standards. Download the SAASPASS app and setup the SAASPASS Authenticator.

The steps for pairing SAASPASS Authenticator with DigitalOcean are shown below:

Step 1

Log into Digital Ocean. In the lower left hand corner, click the ‘Settings’ gear icon.

Under ‘My Account’ choose ‘Enable 2-factor authentication’.

Submit your mobile phone number.

Submit the verification code sent to your phone.

Step 5

Instead of Google Authenticator, you will use SAASPASS. Open your SAASPASS app, choose ‘Authenticator’, ‘Other’, ‘Scan Barcode’, and scan the barcode on your screen with your app. Then enter the code produced by SAASPASS.

When complete, your account should read: ‘Account Secured!’ under a closed lock symbol.
